Admissions

The Admissions Committee promotes regional consistency, as appropriate, in
the regional selection process, to ensure suitability for social work training and
escalate trends and risks. All partners involved in providing the degree are
collectively responsible for the effectiveness of Admissions processes and has
responsibility to oversee the regional admissions process for the NI Degree in
Social Work courses. It has a role to monitor this work and report outcomes
and recommendations to the Partnership Board for ratification. To consult with
all partner agencies and the academic institutions admissions staff to agree
work to be undertaken. Membership includes Higher Education Institutions
(HEIs), Health and Social Care (HSC) Trust Representative, a Voluntary Sector
Representative. The other key stakeholders are not represented on the
Admissions Committee but are fully consulted prior to all decision making and
changes.
